Competition Rules and Guidelines

A few useful reminders:
  • Students may not have any study materials or phones with them during the competition.
  • For the Current Issue speech station, students may use note cards.  However, those must be turned in to the judges prior to the start of the first station, in an envelop clearly marked with both school and team name.  For more information on the speech station, see the 2020 Current Issue Study Guide.
  • Points are awarded for students working collaboratively at each station.
